What and why is this site here?

I moved to Great Neck, New York in 1960, graduating from North Senior High in 1972.  After moving to Florida in 1988, I fell out of touch with many school friends and other acquaintances.

Over the years I took photographs of friends, scenery, and of course, New York City.  Recently I've begun scanning old negatives from the 80's, 70's, and even as far back as the 60's. It's fun to reminisce, trying to remember all those faces, and where and when the photos were taken.

I'm sure you've wondered about friends from your past, haven't you? Perhaps you searched for them on People Lookup or Google and couldn't find them. Well... this site is designed for all Great Neck residents to post photos and memories from the past.  I welcome and encourage you to participate!
